OK, I was wrong

Although my last post was about nothing exciting going on, I must admit....today has been eventful!

I saw TBG's brother and then we had a LOT of rain, thunder, lightning and now hail. How many times can one dog get to romp in the snow, dodge rain drops and get pelted with hail all in the same day?

As stated earlier, you never know what's gonna happen out here on the Prairie!

Not much exciting going on

It gets warm, it gets cold. The sun comes out, then it snows along with ice. This is the weirdest place to grow up, I should be ready for anything that comes down the road!

Besides playing and working in the snow, me and TBG have been going to the grocery store working on proper placement when using the shopping cart. He keeps reminding me that I'm to stay with HIM, not the cart.
Everyone at the store are so friendly and nice, I even get "Hi Ansel" when I walk in. I think they all hope for me to succeed as much as Deb and TBG.

I had TBG take a picture so I'd have proof! Who put those chips in the cart, Ha Ha Ha Ha......TBG's BUSTED.

Went to the Doctor

No, not me...TBG went in to see his Chiropractor and I got to go with him. No big deal, been there before, just another outing into town. On the way home we stopped in at the Vet's office and I got to weigh myself, came in at 69.5 pounds!

Sure am enjoying this warmer weather!

More pics from the trip to Cabela's

Here I am pretending I'm on fire.

Forget what's behind us Raj, do you see those huge deer over there?

Some "pretend" camping!

Putnam giving us a stair walking demo.

Lassiter showing off! It was too scary for me to get under there!

Working on my "under" in a less scary place!

Work day at Cabela's

TBG and I loaded up the blue bomb yesterday morning and headed to Kansas City to meet up with my CCI buds at Cabela's for a work day.

We had a great time, met a TON of people, got to work on our commands in a VERY crowed place and got to smell lots of different animals. Strange though, the animals in the store didn't make any noises or move...very strange.
Deb was out of town so TBG wasn't able to take many pictures since he was consumed with watching me (he cannot multi task!). Anyway, here's a pic of Raj as we all took turns practicing "under" in a very small spot.

Hopefully some of the other humans will send some pics to show what a great time we had! Afterwards, we all went to Culvers for some good eat'n. Well, the 2 legged types ate good!!

Nursing Home and the Super Bowl in the same day!

I convinced Deb that we needed to go to the nursing home to see my buds yesterday. I had a great time, as usual and got a chance to practice my commands. I sure do enjoy all the smiles that greet me!

Afterwards, I was pretty tired and got to nap just long enough so I would be on my best behavior for the Super Bowl party.

I got to watch the Puppy Bowl before we left for the "other" game. There were some hotties in the Puppy Bowl...hubba, hubba.

We headed out and met up with the Mark and Deb's friends from McDowell Creek! They all knew Jeb and expected me to be the perfect service dog. I'm glad I didn't let anyone down!!
Huge thanks go out to our host; Les (AKA the Wise One). He hadn't met me yet, but was still willing to let me crash the party. We all had a great time.

I GUESS I'M JUST A FATHEAD

At our last GTG at the Crown Center, I was mildly ridiculed about my ginormous gentle leader that I had on. It's not like I can go to the store and buy the one I want!
Anyway, my buddy Raj took it upon himself to send me an appropriately sized GL. I was excited when TBG said I had a package. I opened it up, took the GL and lead out of the box and just DROOLED ! It had a padded nose band with a cool design. I was sooo excited I just had to try it on.
Imagine a person trying to put on a size 32 pair of jeans when they normally wear 36's. Well, that was me and the collar! TBG started laughing and calling me "punkinhead". I was sooo disappointed, the noseband was like a soft pillow on my nose. Oh well, I sure do appreciate my fellow CCI buddy for thinking of me!
TBG said he ordered a new GL from Terri and soon I won't be such an eyesore in public!

I had TBG snap a quick picture with it on. You can't tell, but it was really tight!

Had some help clearing the snow

Well, technically Ansel just packed it down a little! Played some catch and retrieve with junior before I jumped on the tractor and cleared a patch from the house. He really likes jumping into the drifts!
